What is the Slow Food Movement?

The Slow Food Movement encourages society to"slow down," and appreciate foods that are local, seasonal, and sustainable. Our society is always on the go, which makes it convenient for people to eat fast food. Although this type of food is quick, it is extremely unhealthy. This movement looks at the cultural, social, and economic factors that deal with the food industry. The Slow Food movement not only helps to benefit the human body, but the environment as well. "Good, clean, and fair food," is what the Slow Food Movement sets out to accomplish.
